To estimate a road surface friction coefficient with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A vehicular road surface friction coefficient estimation device 200 is provided and includes: a first road surface friction coefficient estimation unit 110 for estimating a first road surface friction coefficient on the basis of vehicle information acquired from an own vehicle; a second road surface friction coefficient estimation unit 140 for estimating a second road surface friction coefficient on the basis of external information acquired from the outside of the vehicle; and a third road surface friction coefficient estimation unit for estimating a road surface friction coefficient from the first road surface friction coefficient and the second road surface friction coefficient on the basis of a first confidence representing the reliability of the first road surface friction coefficient and a second confidence representing the reliability of the second road surface friction coefficient.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
