To provide a system capable of automatically determining the generation of squeak noise and automatically determining on which side the squeak noise is generated between an inside track side and an outside track side of a curved track.SOLUTION: A railroad vehicle squeak noise evaluation system includes: sound detection means 10 for detecting sound that is generated when a railroad vehicle travels on a curved track, and outputting a sound signal corresponding to instantaneous sound pressure of the sound; frequency separation means 20 for extracting a sound signal component in each of a plurality of frequency bands predetermined from the sound signal; conversion means 30 for converting the extracted sound signal component into a sound pressure level represented by a decibel unit in each of the plurality of frequency bands; and determination means 40 for respectively comparing the sound pressure level with a prescribed reference value, and determining that squeak noise is generated, and determining on which side the squeak noise is generated between an inside track Ra side and an outside track Rb side of the curved track in accordance with whether the sound pressure level of what frequency band exceeds the reference value in the case that the sound pressure level of any frequency band exceeds the reference value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】きしり音の発生を自動判定可能であると共に、曲線軌道の内軌側及び外軌側のうちの何れの側にきしり音が発生しているかを自動判定可能なシステムを提供する。【解決手段】鉄道車両が曲線軌道を走行する際に発生する音響を検出して、音響の瞬時音圧に応じた音響信号を出力する音響検出手段10と、音響信号から予め定めた複数の周波数帯域毎の音響信号成分を抽出する周波数分離手段20と、抽出した音響信号成分を複数の周波数帯域毎のデシベル単位で表される音圧レベルに変換する変換手段30と、音圧レベルをそれぞれ所定の基準値と比較し、何れかの周波数帯域の音圧レベルが基準値を超えている場合には、きしり音が発生していると判定すると共に、何れの周波数帯域の音圧レベルが基準値を超えているかに応じて、曲線軌道の内軌Ra側及び外軌Rb側のうちの何れの側できしり音が発生しているかを判定する判定手段40と、を備える。【選択図】 図1
