To provide an automatic train operation system for allowing a train to spontaneously perform risk avoidance.SOLUTION: An automatic train operation system includes an on-vehicle device 10 mounted on a train T, a front monitoring device 30 mounted on the train T to monitor the front of the train, a ground-side facility (such as an ATC loop 21, a ground element for position correction 22 and an ATO ground element 23) for giving information to the on-vehicle device 10. A travel control unit 14 of the on-vehicle device 10 automatically operates the train T including station departure, traveling between stations and stop at stations on the basis of information received from the ground-side facility, and stops the train T if the front monitoring device 30 detects an obstacle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】列車が自発的に危険回避を行う自動列車運転システムを提供する。【解決手段】自動列車運転システムは、列車Tに搭載された車上装置10と、列車Tに搭載されて列車Tの前方を監視する前方監視装置30と、車上装置10に情報を与える地上側設備(ATCループ21、位置補正用地上子22及びATO地上子23等)とを含む。車上装置10の走行制御部14は、前記地上側設備から受けた情報に基づいて、駅出発、駅間走行及び駅停車を含む列車Tの自動運転を行う一方、前方監視装置30が障害物を検知した場合には列車Tを停車させるように構成されている。【選択図】図1
