To provide a negative pressure type booster which can effectively inhibit vibration and noise without impairing responsiveness during operation.SOLUTION: A negative pressure type booster 100 includes: a booster shell 110; a movable partition wall 120 which partitions the booster shell 110 into a negative pressure chamber R1 and a variable pressure chamber R2 in an air-tight manner and comprises a plate member 121 and a diaphragm 122; a valve body 130 to which the movable partition wall 120 is connected so as to face a flange part 131a; and a valve mechanism 150 which allows the variable pressure chamber R2 to communicate with the negative pressure chamber R1 and the atmosphere and blocks communication therebetween. The negative pressure type booster 100 includes a cushioning member 170 which is disposed between a flange side facing surface 131a of the flange part 131a and a plate side facing surface 121a of the plate member 121, protrudes from the side of the plate side facing surface 121a to the side of the flange side facing surface 131a1, and contacts with the flange side facing surface 131a1 to elastically deform.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
