To provide a vehicular exterior unit in which a lamp fitting is provided, and which is excellent in design property and a production method of the vehicular exterior unit.SOLUTION: A back door 1 which is an example of a vehicular exterior unit comprises an outer plate 3 which is a resin plate-shaped member which is a part of an exterior of a vehicle VE and a lamp fitting 4 comprising a resin lamp housing 40 on which an opening 40H is formed and being fixed to the outer plate 3 from inside of the vehicle VE. The outer plate 3 comprises a board part 30B which transmits a visible light, and a colored part 30C which is arranged on a part of an inside surface of the vehicle of the board part 30B and suppresses transmission of the visible light. The lamp housing 40 is configured so that, an edge part 46 surrounding the opening 40H surrounds at least a part of an area 21 where the colored part 30C of the outer plate 3 is not arranged, the edge part is deposited to the colored part 30C, and the edge part 46 transmits a laser beam L of a prescribed wavelength and the colored part 30C absorbs the laser beam L.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】 内側に灯具が設けられ意匠性に優れる車両用外装ユニット及び車両用外装ユニットの製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】 車両用外装ユニットの例であるバックドア1は、車両VEの外装の一部となる樹脂製の板状部材である外板3と、開口40Hが形成された樹脂製のランプハウジング40を有し、車両VEの内側から外板3に固定される灯具4と、を備え、外板3は、可視光を透過する基板部30Bと、基板部30Bの車両の内側の面の一部に配置され可視光の透過を抑制する着色部30Cとを有し、ランプハウジング40は開口40Hを囲む縁部46が、外板3の着色部30Cが非配置とされる領域21の少なくとも一部を囲むと共に着色部30Cに溶着され、縁部46は所定波長のレーザ光Lを透過し、着色部30Cはレーザ光Lを吸収する。【選択図】 図2
