To ensure, in a vehicle, support strength when a hook is mounted and load absorption performance in the event of collision and to reduce costs without constraint on vehicle body design.SOLUTION: In a hook mounting structure in which a hook 2 formed from a hook part body 2b and a support rod 2a supporting the hook part body can be mounted on a bumper reinforcement 10, extending in a vehicle width direction, via a retainer member 3 fixed to the bumper reinforcement, the retainer member 3 has: a hook mounting screw part 3b1 disposed above and behind the bumper reinforcement, and with which the leading end of the hook support rod can be spirally engaged; and a load support part 3a1 disposed above and in front of the bumper reinforcement and serving as a support basal end for the hook.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
