To provide a straddle-type small vehicle and a rigidity adjustment device for a vehicle body frame of the vehicle, which can effectively change the position of the vehicle body frame to assist movement of a suspension device such as a suspension against an upward force mainly from a road surface.SOLUTION: A swing type vehicle 10 includes a front wheel suspension device 12 allowing a front wheel 13 to be suspended upward by reaction force from a road surface so that the position of the front wheel is changed. The swing type vehicle 10 includes: a cushion support arm 64 located adjacently to a vehicle body frame 11 having a cushion support portion of the front wheel suspension device 12; and a rigidity adjustment device 90 provided to extend between plural portions of the cushion support arm 64. The rigidity adjustment device 90 applies pre-tension to the cushion support arm 64, and a reserve force component is generated by the pre-tension to the cushion support portion in the same direction as an upward movement direction of the front wheel 13 moved by the reaction force on the front wheel 13 from the road surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】主に路面からの突き上げ方向の力に対して、サスペンション等の懸架装置の動きを助力すべく車体フレーム等を効果的に変位させることが可能な鞍乗り型の小型車両、及び車両の車体フレームの剛性調整装置を提供する。【解決手段】揺動車両10において、前輪懸架装置12は、路面からの反力により前輪13を上方向に変位可能に懸架する。揺動車両10は、前輪懸架装置12のクッション支持部を有する車体フレーム11側のクッション支持アーム64と、クッション支持アーム64の複数個所間に架け渡される剛性調整装置90とを備える。剛性調整装置90は、クッション支持アーム64に予張力を付与し、予張力は、前輪13の路面からの反力による前輪13の上方への移動方向と同方向にクッション支持部に予力成分を発生させる。【選択図】図2
