To provide an optical axis control system for a head lamp by which optical axis control can be suitably performed with respect to gradient change in a road on which a vehicle travels.SOLUTION: A head lamp optical axis control system comprises: an information acquisition part 20 which acquires positional information S1 which represents a position on a road on which a vehicle travels, and gradient information S2 which represents a gradient of the road in a direction of travel of the vehicle; and an optical axis adjustment part 30 which adjusts an optical axis based on said positional information S1 and gradient information S2 acquired by the information acquisition part 20. The optical axis adjustment part 30 adjusts the optical axis in alignment with a position at which a gradient change is terminated while starting movement of the optical axis from the front of a position at which a gradient change of the road is started in a direction in which the gradient of the road is changed, and returning the optical axis from the front of the position at which the gradient change of the road is terminated in a direction opposite to the direction in which the gradient of the road is changed, and starts next optical axis adjustment from the front of a position at which a next gradient change is started in the case that there is a position at which the next gradient change is started before completion of the optical axis adjustment.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】車両が走行する道路の勾配変化に対して光軸調整を適切に行うことを可能とした前照灯の光軸制御システムを提供する。【解決手段】車両が走行する道路上の位置を示す位置情報S1と、車両の進行方向における道路の勾配を示す勾配情報S2とを取得する情報取得部20と、情報取得部20が取得した位置情報S1及び勾配情報S2に基づいて光軸を調整する光軸調整部30とを備え、光軸調整部30は、道路の勾配変化が開始される位置の手前から道路の勾配が変化する方向への光軸の移動を開始し、道路の勾配変化が終了する位置の手前から道路の勾配が変化する方向とは反対方向に光軸を戻しながら、道路の勾配変化が終了する位置に合わせて光軸を調整すると共に、光軸調整が完了する前に、次の勾配変化が開始される位置が存在する場合において、次の勾配変化が開始される位置の手前から次の光軸調整を開始する。【選択図】図2
