PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device that can estimate an attention decrease of a driver while driving with high probability and in real time.SOLUTION: A device for estimating an attention decrease of a driver according to the present invention comprises: an acceleration sensor 4 for measuring an acceleration in a lateral direction with respect to a traveling direction of a vehicle; and calculating means 321 for calculating an absolute value of a jerk based on the acceleration measured by the acceleration sensor 4 and for estimating an attention decrease of a driver based on the calculated absolute value of the jerk. The calculating means 321 sets a detection window between a first time and a second time longer than the first time from a time when the absolute value of the jerk exceeds a predetermined threshold in a time axis. The setting of the detection window is repeated starting from when the absolute value of the jerk included in the detection window exceeds the threshold value; and when the setting of the detection window is performed continuously, the calculating means estimates that the attention of the driver has decreased.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】運転中のドライバーの注意力低下を、高い確率で、かつリアルタイムで推定できる装置を提供する。【解決手段】本発明に係るドライバーの注意力低下推定装置は、自動車の進行方向に対して横方向の加速度を測定する加速度センサ4と、加速度センサ4で測定した加速度から加加速度の絶対値を算出すると共に、当該算出された加加速度の絶対値に基づいてドライバーの注意力の低下を推定する演算手段321とを備えている。演算手段321は、時間軸において加加速度の絶対値が予め定めた閾値を超えたときから第1の時間と、第1の時間より長い第2の時間との間に検出窓を設定し、かつ検出窓に含まれる加加速度の絶対値が前記閾値を超えたときを起点として検出窓の設定を繰り返し、検出窓の設定が連続して行われたとき、ドライバーの注意力が低下していると推定する。【選択図】図1
