PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately control a field current in a winding field type rotary electric machine.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine unit 20 includes a rotating electrical machine 21 having an armature winding and a field winding and a field circuit 23 having a plurality of switching elements and energizing the field winding depending on the on/off of the switching element, and has at least one of a power generation function and a power running function. A rotary electric machine ECU 24 controls on/off of the switching element by field current control using pulse width modulation. The rotary electric machine ECU 24 includes a setting unit that sets a carrier frequency that is a frequency of a pulse width modulation carrier signal based on the state of the rotating electrical machine 21 during operation of the rotating electrical machine 21 and a control unit that controls the field current by pulse width modulation using the carrier frequency set by the setting unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】巻線界磁式回転電機において界磁電流を適正に制御する。【解決手段】回転電機ユニット20は、電機子巻線及び界磁巻線を有する回転電機21と、複数のスイッチング素子を有し当該スイッチング素子のオンオフに応じて界磁巻線を通電させる界磁回路23とを備え、発電機能及び力行機能の少なくともいずれかを有する。回転電機ECU24は、パルス幅変調を用いた界磁電流制御によりスイッチング素子のオンオフを制御する。回転電機ECU24は、回転電機21の動作時において、回転電機21の状態に基づいて、パルス幅変調のキャリア信号の周波数であるキャリア周波数を設定する設定部と、設定部により設定したキャリア周波数を用いたパルス幅変調により界磁電流を制御する制御部と、を備える。【選択図】 図1
