PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage compensator which has less operation loss for all of operation periods with high performance.SOLUTION: A voltage compensator comprises: an electric power converter that supplies a compensation voltage for compensating a phase voltage of an electric power system to a current transformer connected serially to each phase of the electric power system; and a control unit that outputs a control signal that controls the current transformer on the basis of the phase voltage and a target voltage of the electric power system previously set. The control unit includes: a first operator that generates a compensation voltage command value for generating the compensation voltage on the basis of the phase voltage and the target voltage; and a determination circuit that compares a deviation between the compensation voltage command value and the target voltage with a minimum compensation voltage value previously set, and outputs a stop signal for stopping at least one of the control signal when the deviation is smaller than the minimum compensation voltage value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
