PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator having a simple structure and significantly high detection accuracy.SOLUTION: An actuator includes: a cylinder 51; a piston 52 configured to move inside the cylinder 51; a stroke sensor 53 configured to detect a position of the piston 52; an edge part 51a1 configured to regulate rotation toward one side; and a regulation projection 51b configured to regulate rotation toward the other side. A rotation amount allowed by the edge part 51a1 is made larger than a rotation amount allowed by the regulation projection 51b. A center of a sensor 53c of the stroke sensor 53 is deviated to the one side from a center of a to-be-detected member 53b fixed to the piston 52.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
