PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging device capable of shortening a charging time and improving energy efficiency in charging a battery under a low-temperature environment.SOLUTION: A charging device 10 for charging a battery 11 includes: a charger 12 connected to an outer power source 20 and feeding power to the battery 11; a resistance type heater 13 connected to the charger 12 and converting power from the charger 12 into heat; and a cooling part 16 for allowing a cooling medium to flow from the side of the charger 12 to the side of the battery 11 so as to cool the charger 12 and the battery 11 with the common cooling medium. When the battery 11 is charged under an environment with temperature equal to or less tha predetermined temperature, power from the charger 12 is supplied to the resistance type heater 13 and heat generated in the charger 12 is transmitted to the battery 11 via the cooling medium.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
