PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single mounting type vehicle wheel disk capable of achieving weight saving of a disk as compared with a conventional one, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: A vehicle wheel disk is manufactured from plate-shaped disk material. The vehicle wheel disk 10 and a manufacturing method thereof include a hub mounting portion 12, a disk flange portion 13, and a hat portion 14. The hat portion 14 includes a hat top portion 15 protruding outwardly in an axial direction of the disk, a hat inner circumference portion 16 connecting the hat top portion 15 and the hub mounting portion 12, and a hat outer circumference portion 17 connecting the hat top portion 15 and the disk flange portion 13. In the vehicle wheel disk, a first thickness-reduced portion 18a which has a thickness smaller than that of the disk material is formed at the hat outer circumference portion 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
