PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic train detector capable of suppressing occurrence of a detection mistake caused by poor electric conduction arising when the rail surface is covered by debris like rusts.SOLUTION: An electronic train detector 100 comprises a receiver filter 310, an input transformer 320, a bandpass filter 330, a power amplifier 340, a feedback transformer 350, a variable inductance part 360, an output transformer 370, a rectifier 380 and a detection relay 390. The variable inductance part 360 is built to satisfy the condition that the inductance of the variable inductance part when a train is detected is less than the inductance when a train is not detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
