PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid valve and a brake device capable of suppressing deterioration of control accuracy.SOLUTION: In a gate-out valve (G/V-OUT) 3, relation of La≤Lb is satisfied when an axial length from a lower end 40b of a small diameter portion 40 to a bottom surface 41a of a recession 41 is Lb and an axial length from a lower end 40b of the small diameter portion 40 to a lower end 38b of a large diameter portion 38 is La. An insertion length of a plunger 29 to an armature 37 can be longer than that of conventional ones, inclination of the plunger 29 can be suppressed, and increase in sliding resistance with respect to a body inner 21 can be restrained.
