PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a wheel capable of improving sealing performance while suppressing generation of rotary frictional resistance.SOLUTION: A bearing device 1 for a wheel includes: an outer ring 2; an inner member constituted by a hub ring 3, and at least one inner ring 4 pressed in the hub ring 3; an inner-side ball row 5a and an outer-side ball row 5b being double-row rolling elements; a magnetic encoder 9 provided at an end of the inner ring 4; and a cover 10 fitted with the outer ring 2. The inner ring 4 is inserted into an inside diameter portion 10d being a communication hole formed in the cover 10, and short fiber Fi being a flexible structure is provided on an inner peripheral surface of the inside diameter portion 10d or an outer peripheral surface of the inner ring 4 so as to block a gap between the inner peripheral surface of the inside diameter portion 10d and the outer peripheral surface of the inner ring 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
