PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an appropriate traffic congestion easing support according to a state of traffic congestion, in addition to the possibility of traffic congestion.SOLUTION: A traffic congestion easing support device 10 includes a three-dimensional acceleration sensor 14, a speed calculation part 20, a congestion scale prediction part 24, an information presentation control part 26, and a travel control part 27. The congestion scale prediction part 24 acquires congestion sign information based on a change in acceleration acquired by the three-dimensional acceleration sensor 14. The congestion scale prediction part 24 predicts a congestion scale based on the congestion sign information and the speed acquired by the speed calculation part 20, when the congestion sign information indicates a state of traffic congestion sign. The information presentation control part 26 and the travel control part 27 instruct execution of congestion easing support according to the congestion scale.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
