PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately eliminate a traveling difficult section when guiding a route and ensure that the route quality of its alternative route is good.SOLUTION: Provided is a navigation device 200 configured to include a computation device 204 for specifying, upon finding a route that includes a travelling difficult section, the route as a route candidate after adding a prescribed penalty cost to the cost of the route, specifying an alternative route that links a first partial route leading from a prescribed configuration node in the traveling difficult section of the searched route to a destination and a second partial route leading from the place of departure in the searched route to a searched node, specifying the alternative route as a route candidate after adding a connection cost for leading from the searched node to the prescribed configuration node in the traveling difficult section to the cost of each of the first and second partial routes, and selecting the route candidate having had the penalty cost added or the alternative route having had the connection cost added, whichever is smaller in cost, as a route for guidance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9

    【課題】経路案内に際して走行困難区間を適宜に排除すると共に、その代替経路の経路品質を良好なものとする。【解決手段】ナビゲーション装置200において、走行困難区間を含む経路を探索した場合、当該経路のコストに所定のペナルティコストを加算した上で当該経路を経路候補と特定し、探索した経路における走行困難区間の所定構成ノードから目的地に至る第一の部分経路と、探索した経路における出発地から探索済みのノードに至る第二の部分経路とを接続した代替経路を特定し、 第一および 第二の各部分経路のコストに、探索済みのノードから 走行困難区間の所定構成ノードに至る接続コストを加算した上で当該代替経路を経路候補と特定し、ペナルティコストを加算した経路候補と 接続コストを加算した経路候補とのうち、コストの小さいものを案内用経路として選択する演算装置204を含む構成とする。【選択図】図9
