PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic operation device and an automatic operation method for an indoor crane capable of efficiently and safely controlling a present position of an object to be conveyed to a target position with high accuracy when performing a work that requires handling of the object to be conveyed by the indoor crane.SOLUTION: An automatic operation device of an indoor crance includes a first navigation receiver that is mounted on a hanging tool of an indoor crance griping an object to be conveyed and receives a rotation fan beam emitted from one or more navigation transmitters of an indoor position measurement system as a positioning signal, control means calculating a deviation between a present position of the object to be conveyed which is recognized based on the positioning signal and a target position and autonomously moving the indoor crane such that the present position of the object to be conveyed is shifted to the target position based on the calculated deviation between the present position and the target position, and one or more assist robots holding the object to be conveyed or the hanging tool and assisting the position adjustment and attitude adjustment of the object to be conveyed within a horizontal plane.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
