PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular fuel tank which includes wall parts, a column support member and joining parts for them and allows for suppression of stress concentration on the joining parts and furthermore allows for suppression of the deformation of the fuel tank.SOLUTION: A pair of projection parts 32 projected to the internal side of a fuel tank body 12 are respectively formed in opposed upper wall 18 and bottom wall 14 in the fuel tank body 12. A column support member 20 is provided in the fuel tank body 12, the column support member 20 being extended to the bottom wall 14 from the upper wall 18 and including longitudinal direction-flange parts 30 respectively fusion-bonded to the projection parts 32. The column support member 20 comprises deformation start point parts 36 respectively provided in the vicinity of the pair of projection parts 32 in the column support member 20, consequently stress can be concentrated on the deformation start point parts 36 more than joining parts of the column support member 20 and the projection parts 32 in wall parts when the upper wall 18 and the bottom wall 14 of the fuel tank body 12 begin to deform. Thus, deformation can be suppressed while suppressing stress concentration on the joining parts of the projection parts 32 and the column support member 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】壁部と支柱部材との結合部への応力の集中を抑制しながら変形を抑制することができる車両用燃料タンクを得る。【解決手段】燃料タンク本体12における対向する上壁18及び底壁14には、燃料タンク本体12の内部側へ突出された一対の突出部32がそれぞれ形成されている。また、燃料タンク本体12内には、上壁18から底壁14へ延設されると共に、長手方向のフランジ部30が突出部32にそれぞれ溶着された支柱部材20が設けられている。支柱部材20には、支柱部材20における一対の突出部32の近傍に変形起点部36がそれぞれ設けられていることから、燃料タンク本体12の上壁18及び底壁14が変形しようとする際に応力を支柱部材20と壁部における突出部32との結合部よりも変形起点部36へ集中させることができる。これにより、突出部32と支柱部材20との結合部への応力の集中を抑制しながら変形を抑制することができる。【選択図】図2
