PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fuel economy performance by enabling a selective change in a final gear ratio of a vehicle in a rear two-axle drive vehicle.SOLUTION: A rear two-axle drive device includes: an intermediate differential gear 30 capable of distributing driving force to a first shaft 37 and a second shaft 36; a third shaft 14 capable of transmitting the driving force from the first shaft 37; a fourth shaft 15 capable of transmitting the driving force from the second shaft 36; a rear-front differential gear 60 for transmitting the driving force from the third shaft 14 to the left and right rear-front drive axles 18L, R; a rear-rear differential gear 70 for transmitting the driving force from the fourth shaft 15 to the left and right rear-rear drive axles 19L, R; a first coupling mechanism 40 capable of selectively coupling the first shaft 37 and the second shaft 36; and a second coupling mechanism 48 capable of selectively coupling the second shaft 36 and the fourth shafts 38, 15. A final gear ratio of the rear-front differential gear 60 is set to a gear ratio different from a final gear ratio of the rear-rear differential gear 70.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
