PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrically-driven power steering device capable of generating a larger brake torque as conventional one.SOLUTION: A electrically-driven power steering device comprises: an electric assist motor that applies a torque to a steering mechanism; a motor drive circuit that includes three-phase bridge circuit BC constructed by a plurality of upper arm/lower arm elements, and to which each connection point of the upper arm/lower arm elements and a coil of each phase are connected; and a steering ECU that switches ON/OFF of the upper arm/lower arm elements of the motor drive circuit. The steering ECU executes a continuously inter-phase short circuit control that the upper arm element and the lower arm element are alternately turned on, and the coil of each phase is continuously set to an inter-phase short circuit state when the magnitude of a rotational speed ω is less than a first rotational speed threshold value ω1 at an inverse input state, and executes intermission phase short circuit control that alternately sets the upper arm element and the lower arm element to a conductive state only during a predetermined on time Ton from a period T when the magnitude of the rotational speed ω is equal to a first rotational speed threshold value ω1th or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8

    【課題】従来よりも大きなブレーキトルクを発生させることが可能な電動パワーステアリング装置を提供する。【解決手段】ステアリング機構にトルクを付与する電動アシストモータと、複数の上アーム/下アーム素子により構成された3相ブリッジ回路BCを有し、上アーム/下アーム素子の各接続点と各相のコイルとが接続されたモータ駆動回路と、モータ駆動回路の上アーム/下アーム素子のオン/オフを切り替えるステアリングECUと、を備える。ステアリングECUは、逆入力状態時において、回転速度ωの大きさが第1回転速度閾値ω1th未満のとき、上アーム素子及び下アーム素子を交互にオンして各相のコイルを常に相間短絡状態とする常時相間短絡制御を実行し、回転速度ωの大きさが第1回転速度閾値ω1th以上のとき、上アーム素子及び下アーム素子を周期Tのうち交互に所定のオン時間Tonの間だけ導通状態に設定する間欠相間短絡制御を実行する。【選択図】図8
