PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide gripping claws of a metal piece lifting tool which can surely grip even a slab having a flat grip surface and a slab of high hardness.SOLUTION: Gripping claws 1 of a metal piece lifting tool are provided on tips of a pair of arms 13 capable of opening and closing so as to sandwich a metal piece 2, and have stripe-shaped teeth 9, which abut against the metal piece 2, formed on a pedestal 7. In the state where tips of the teeth 9 abut against the surface of the metal piece 2, when assuming that a contact point of the tips of the teeth 9 with the metal piece 2 is a contact point O, a tangent line contacting with upper surfaces of the teeth 9 passing through the contact point O is a tangent line OA, a perpendicular line perpendicular to the surface of the metal piece 2 passing through the contact point O is a perpendicular line OB, a tangent line contacting with lower surfaces of the teeth 9 passing through the contact point O is a tangent line OC, and a line segment drawn on the surface of the metal piece 2 passing through the contact point O is a line segment OD, the cross-sectional shape orthogonal to axis lines of the teeth 9 is set in such a way that an angle ∠AOB between the tangent line OA and the perpendicular line OB is -30° to +5°, an angle ∠COD between the tangent line OC and the line segment OD is 5° or more, and an angle ∠AOC between the tangent line OA and the tangent line OC is 45°to 90°.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】掴み面が平坦なスラブや、高硬度のスラブであっても確実に掴むことのできる金属片吊具の掴み爪を提供する。【解決手段】本発明に係る金属片吊具の掴み爪1は、金属片2を挟むようにして開閉可能な一対のアーム13の先端に設けられて、金属片2に当接する筋状の歯9が台座7に形成されたものであって、金属片2の表面に歯9の先端が当接した状態で、歯9の先端と金属片2との接点をO、接点Oを通り歯9の上面に接する接線を接線OA、接点Oを通り金属片2の表面に立てた垂線を垂線OB、接点Oを通り歯9の下面に接する接線を接線OC、接点Oを通り金属片2の表面に引いた線分を線分ODとしたときに、接線OAと垂線OBの成す角度∠AOBが−30°〜+5°、接線OCと線分ODの成す角度∠CODが5°以上、接線OAと接線OCの成す角度∠AOCが45°〜90°になるように、歯9の軸線に直交する断面形状が設定されている。【選択図】 図1
