PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball screw device capable of positively preventing its dropping into a nut when it is assembled into a deflector and capable of reducing the number of assembling steps and provide a steering device.SOLUTION: A ball screw device 40 comprises a screw shaft 20, a nut 21, a rotor 24, a return flow passage R2 and a deflector 51. A fixing hole 41 is provided with a pair of first side surfaces 411a, 411b, the deflector 51 is provided with a pair of second side surfaces 511a, 511b oppositely facing against the pair of first side surfaces under a state in which it is stored in the fixing hole. The first side surface of the fixing hole and the second side surface of the deflector have an engagement structure where they are engaged to each other under a non-normal state in which a part of the deflector is inserted into the fixing hole at an attitude different from that of the deflector kept under a state in which it is stored in the fixing hole.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
