PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire having improved wet grip performance while maintaining fuel efficiency.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire is provided, which has a tread composed of a rubber composition containing 0.5 part by mass or more of silica and 5 parts by mass or more of a rosin ester resin with respect to 100 parts by mass of a rubber component comprising 40 to 100 mass% of a styrene-butadiene rubber and 0 to 60 mass% by a butadiene rubber. The rubber composition shows an adhesive force of 400 or more measured by a predetermined adhesive force test method when an adhesive force of a reference rubber composition in which the whole amount of the resin has been replaced by oil is set to 100.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
