PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axle box suspension which is effective for impact alleviation in a rail joint or passing of a branching connection in a simple structure and while maintaining support rigidity necessary in an axle spring unit.SOLUTION: An axle box suspension device for a railroad vehicle 10 has an axle spring 3 arranged between an axle box 2 having a supporting arm 21 extending in longitudinal direction of a vehicle body and a spring cap 13 of a truck frame 1, and the supporting arm is supported by the truck frame through a cylindrical lamination rubber 4. A top unit axle spring seat 31 of the axle spring includes: a top unit annular flange unit 311 abutting with a top end of the axle spring; and a top unit cylindrical unit 312 extended upward by having a spring cap inserted coaxial to an axle spring central line J1 on an inner periphery side of the top unit annular flange unit, and in between the top unit annular flange unit and the spring cap, a rubber seat 5 formed in an annular plate state inscribed on an outer periphery surface of the top unit cylindrical unit and at the same time, at least gaps 132, 132A, 132B of prescribed widths are formed at least in the horizontal direction between an outer periphery surface of the top unit cylindrical unit and a through hole 131 of the spring cap.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】簡単な構造であって、軸ばね部における必要な支持剛性を維持しつつ、レール継ぎ目や分岐通過時等における衝撃緩和に有効な構造を有する軸箱支持装置を提供する。【解決手段】車体前後方向に延びる支持腕21を有する軸箱2と台車枠1のばね帽13との間に軸ばね3を配置し、支持腕を円筒積層ゴム4を介して台車枠に支持させた鉄道車両用軸箱支持装置10である。軸ばねの上部軸ばね座31には、軸ばねの上端と当接する上部環状フランジ部311と、上部環状フランジ部の内周側で軸ばね中心線J1と同軸状にばね帽を挿通して上方へ延設された上部円筒部312とを備え、上部環状フランジ部とばね帽との間には、上部円筒部の外周面に内接する円環板状に形成されたゴム座5が配置され、かつ、上部円筒部の外周面とばね帽の挿通孔131との間には、少なくとも左右方向に所定幅の隙間132、132A、132Bが形成されている。【選択図】図2
