PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy consumption prediction device and an energy consumption prediction method with which it is possible to accurately predict the consumed amount of an energy source of a vehicle.SOLUTION: Provided is an energy consumption prediction device comprising: an acquisition unit for acquiring a parameter correlating to at least one of a vehicle speed when a vehicle traveling with only a power source consuming an energy source, which is supplied from outside of the vehicle and stored, traveled on a path from an arbitrary first point to an arbitrary second point where the vehicle can travel in the past, a vehicle speed when the other vehicle traveled on the path in the past, the output of the power source when the vehicle traveled on the path in the past, and the output of the other power source when the other vehicle traveling with only the other power source of the same kind as the power source traveled on the path in the past; and a calculation unit for calculating, on the basis of the parameter, a predicted consumption amount of the energy source that is predicted when the vehicle travels on the path from the first point to the second point.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
