PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability when data is applied to an on-vehicle computer such as an ECU.SOLUTION: A maintenance device which is loaded on a vehicle executes: a data storage step of storing data applied on an on-vehicle computer which is loaded on the vehicle; a data generation step of generating new data which is applied to the on-vehicle computer by using updated data supplied to the vehicle; and an execution control step of performing control for applying the new data to the on-vehicle computer, and stores the new data successfully applied to the on-vehicle computer in the data storage step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
