PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove the high possibility of damaging a comb plate and a footboard during control executed to stop a passenger conveyor due to the entry of a foreign object into a gap between the comb plate and the footboard.SOLUTION: A displacement detection unit is attached to a comb plate of a side opposed to a footboard, and detects the height-direction displacement of the footboard which horizontally moves. A control unit detects the occurrence of an abnormality in the footboard when a displacement amount calculated from reference displacement on the basis of the displacement of the footboard exceeds a threshold value used for detecting the abnormality of the footboard before the footboard comes into contact with comb teeth, and carries out a different operation for dealing with the abnormality of the footboard for each threshold value exceeded by the displacement amount from the reference displacement.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】異物が櫛板と踏板の隙間に入ったことにより乗客コンベアを停止させる制御では、櫛板と踏板が損傷する可能性が高かった。【解決手段】変位検出部は、踏板に対向する側の櫛板に取り付けられ、水平に移動する踏板の高さ方向の変位を検出する。制御部は、踏板の変位に基づいて求められた基準変位からの変位量が、踏板が櫛歯に接触する前に踏板の異常を検出するために用いられる閾値を超えた場合に、踏板に異常が生じたことを検出し、基準変位からの変位量が超える異なる閾値毎に踏板の異常に対処するための異なる動作を行う。【選択図】図1
