PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frame member which is constituted of a CFRP-made member and metal attachment members connected with the CFRP-made members, and which can be firmly connected with other members, and which has enhanced joining strength between the CFRP-made member and the metal attachment members and has high strength against a bending load though it is light in weight.SOLUTION: A frame member comprises: a tubular member made of CFRP; and metal attachment members which are connected with at least one end of the tubular member. In the frame member capable of connecting the tubular member with another member by fastening the attachment member to the other member using fastening members, the attachment member comprises: an opening through which the tubular member is inserted; and protrusion parts extending along an edge part of the opening to protrude inward in the opening. The tubular member has groove parts to be engaged with the protrusion parts. The attachment member is connected with the tubular member by making the protrusion parts be engaged with the grooves. A wall thickness of a groove opening on a side opposite to a bottom part is formed to be larger than a wall thickness of the bottom part in a wall part forming the groove part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
