PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfy a requirement that, in a seat drive unit in which a plurality of position adjustment mechanism are selectively operated by a single drive motor, the drive torque of the position adjustment mechanism should be attenuated until an output of the drive motor is transmitted to the position adjustment mechanism in the position adjustment mechanism which is small in necessary torque compared with the output torque of the drive motor, and then, wasteful reinforcing torque for withstanding the torque of the position adjustment mechanism which is small in the necessary torque should be dispensed with.SOLUTION: In a tilt adjustment mechanism Mt which is small in torque necessary for an operation compared with the other mechanism out of the position adjustment mechanisms, the position adjustment mechanism comprises a transmission efficiency suppression part for lowering the transmission efficiency of torque compared with a path for transmitting an output of a drive motor to the other position adjustment mechanism in a path for transmitting the output of the drive motor to the tilt adjustment mechanism Mt. The transmission efficiency suppression part is constituted of direction conversion gears (48T. 49T) for converting a direction of an output transmission path of the drive motor, and a tilting torque cable 28.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】単一の駆動モータにより複数の位置調整機構が選択的に作動されるシート駆動装置において、駆動モータの出力トルクに比べて、必要トルクの小さい位置調整機構では、駆動モータの出力が位置調整機構に伝達されるまでの間で位置調整機構の駆動トルクを減衰させることにある。それにより、必要トルクの小さい位置調整機構におけるトルクに耐えるための余分な補強を不要とする。【解決手段】各位置調整機構の中で他に比べて作動に必要なトルクが小さいチルト調整機構Mtでは、チルト調整機構Mtに駆動モータの出力を伝達する経路中に、他の位置調整機構に駆動モータの出力を伝達する経路に比べて、トルクの伝達効率を低下させる伝達効率抑制部を備える。伝達効率抑制部は、駆動モータの出力伝達経路の方向を変換する方向変換ギヤ(48T、49T)とチルト用トルクケーブル28とにより構成されている。【選択図】図2
