PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earth fault detection system of a railway vehicle which can perform detection of earth fault occurrence and specification of a site of earth fault before a transformer station detects earth fault and blocks power transmission.SOLUTION: An earth fault detection system of a railway vehicle comprises: plural power collection ammeters (4) which measure electric current flowing to plural power collection parts (1); plural bus line ammeters (6) which detect electric current flowing to a high voltage bus line (3); an earth fault determination part (20) which determines earth fault occurrence; and a position determination part (30) which determines an earth fault occurrence site. The earth fault determination part (20) determines the fact of an earth fault occurrence in the case where at least one of current values detected by the plural power collection ammeters (4) exceeds a prescribed current threshold, and determines the fact of an earth fault occurrence in the case where at least one of current change rates detected by the plural power collection ammeters (4) exceeds a prescribed current change rate threshold. Further, the position determination part (30) determines an earth fault occurrence site based on a direction of each detected electric current.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】変電所が地絡を検出して送電を遮断する前に、地絡発生の検出と地絡の箇所の特定と行うことのできる鉄道車両の地絡検出システムを提供する。【解決手段】この鉄道車両の地絡検出システムは、複数の集電部(1)に流れる電流を計測する複数の集電電流計(4)と、高圧母線(3)に流れる電流を検出する複数の母線電流計(6)と、地絡発生の判定を行う地絡判定部(20)と、地絡の発生箇所の判定を行う位置判定部(30)とを備える。地絡判定部(20)は、複数の集電電流計(4)が検出した電流値の少なくとも一つが所定の電流閾値を超えた場合に地絡発生と判定し、且つ、複数の集電電流計(4)が検出した電流変化率の少なくとも一つが所定の変化率閾値を超えた場合に地絡発生と判定する。また、位置判定部(30)は、検出された各々の電流の向きに基づいて地絡の発生箇所を判定する。【選択図】図1
