PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite member capable of maintaining conjugation force of a resin coating and an aluminum material high when using the aluminum material is used as a metal member and a manufacturing method of the composite member.SOLUTION: An edge part 17 of a lower shaft 13 constituting a steering shaft 3 has an aluminum substrate 41 consisting of aluminum or aluminum alloy, an oxygen-containing coating 43 formed on a surface of the aluminum substrate 41 and having oxygen and a resin conjugate 45 conjugated on a surface of the oxygen-containing coating 43 and consisting of a resin. The resin conjugate 45 is formed with annularly connecting to the surface of the oxygen-containing coating 43 over whole circumference in a circumferential direction of the aluminum substrate 41.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7

    【課題】金属部材としてアルミニウム材を用いた場合に、樹脂被膜とアルミニウム材との接合力を高く維持することができる複合部材および複合部材の製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】ステアリングシャフト3を構成するロアーシャフト13の端部17は、アルミニウムまたはアルミニウム合金からなるアルミニウム基材41と、該アルミニウム基材41の表面に形成され、酸素を含む酸素含有被膜43と、該酸素含有被膜43の表面に接合され、樹脂からなる樹脂接合体45と、を有する。樹脂接合体45は、酸素含有被膜43の表面に、アルミニウム基材41の周方向の全周に亘って環状に繋がって形成されている。【選択図】図7
