PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily convert a posture of a transmission in a safe manner.SOLUTION: A transmission suspending tool 1 includes: a base part 2; a pair of arms 3, 4 extending downward from the base part; engaging pieces 5, 6 respectively provided to the pair of arms and capable of engaging with lateral parts 105, 104 of a transmission TM; first rotation support parts 7, 8 for supporting the engaging pieces so as to be rotatable about a first rotation axis O1 horizontal to the arms; and a first lock mechanism 9 for locking at least one of the engaging pieces to at least two positions about the first rotation axis.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
