PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve collision detection performance with a simple structure.SOLUTION: A collision detection method for vehicle includes: specifying an object by an on-vehicle camera and acquiring a relative speed between a vehicle and the object (S400); when the object is a two-wheeled vehicle and has the relative speed of a vehicle speed or less (Yes in S402 and S404), the relative speed is set in the collision speed (S406), when the object is other than the two-wheeled vehicle (No in S402 and S404), the vehicle speed is set at the collision speed (S408). The method includes deriving an effective mass using the set collision speed, and determining the collision (S410). Thereby, the collision detection accuracy can be improved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】衝突検出性能を簡単な構成で向上させる。【解決手段】車載カメラにより対象物を特定し、車両と対象物との相対速度を取得する(S400)。対象物が二輪車でありかつ相対速度が車速以下の場合に(S402、S404で肯定)、衝突速度に相対速度を設定し(S406)、対象物が二輪車以外の場合に(S402、S404で否定)、衝突速度に車速を設定する(S408)。設定した衝突速度を用いて有効質量を導出し、衝突判定する(S410)。これにより、衝突検出精度を向上できる。【選択図】図5
