PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a follow-up start at timing which is expected by a driver when starting an own vehicle while following up a preceding vehicle, and to obtain favorable drive performance.SOLUTION: When starting an own vehicle 1 while following up a start of a preceding vehicle P, an engine 5 is restarted from an idling stop state, and after the own vehicle is ISS-restored (S22), a start-time delay time Td before the own vehicle 1 starts to travel is variably set according to an estimated gradient θhi of a road face and an obstacle or the like which approximates the own vehicle 1 (S23), and next, a start acceleration suppression time Tα before the own vehicle 1 reaches a prescribed vehicle speed after the own vehicle starts to travel is variably set according to the estimated gradient θhi and the obstacle or the like which approximates the own vehicle 1 (S24). By this constitution, a follow-up start can be performed at timing which is expected by a driver of the own vehicle 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8

    【課題】自車両が先行車に追従して発進するに際し、運転者の期待するタイミングで追従発進させることができ、良好な運転性能を得ることができるようにする。【解決手段】先行車Pの発進に追従して自車両1を発進させるに際し、アイドリングストップの状態からエンジン5を再始動させてISS復帰させた後(S22)、自車両1が動き出すまでの発進時ディレイ時間Tdを路面の推定勾配θhiや自車両1に近接する障害物等に応じて可変設定し(S23)、次いで自車両1が動き出したときから所定車速に達する迄の発進加速抑制時間Tαを推定勾配θhiや自車両1に近接する障害物等に応じて可変設定する(S24)。これにより自車両1を運転者の期待するタイミングで追従発進させることができる。【選択図】図8
