PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regeneration method of nickel metal-hydride storage battery and a regenerator of nickel metal-hydride storage battery capable of regenerating more than one batteries at a time while suppressing deterioration of battery characteristics of each battery.SOLUTION: A battery module 11 is a nickel metal-hydride storage battery consisting of one unit cell or more than one integrated unit cells, having a hydrogen-storing alloy as a negative electrode, and including a safety valve which opens when the internal pressure of a battery case goes above a valve opening pressure. In a step of regenerating a discharge reserve, multiple battery modules 11 are connected in parallel, and the discharge reserve of negative electrode is restored by supplying a current from a charger 51 connected in parallel with the battery modules 11 and bringing the battery modules 11 into over-charged state, and then discharging at least a part of oxygen gas generated from the positive electrode of the battery modules 11 in over-charged state to the outside of the battery case via the safety valve.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】各電池の電池特性の低下を抑制しながら一度に複数の電池を再生することのできるニッケル水素蓄電池の再生方法及びニッケル水素蓄電池の再生装置を提供する。【解決手段】電池モジュール11は、1又は複数の単電池を一体化してなるニッケル水素蓄電池であって、水素吸蔵合金を負極合剤として有し、電槽の内部圧力が開弁圧以上であるときに開く安全弁を備えている。放電リザーブを再生させる工程では、電池モジュール11は複数並列に接続され、電池モジュール11に並列に接続された充電装置51から電流を供給して電池モジュール11を過充電状態とし、過充電状態の電池モジュール11の正極で発生した酸素ガスの少なくとも一部を、安全弁を介して電槽外に排出させることで負極の放電リザーブを回復させる。【選択図】図3
