PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which can accurately determine the state of a road surface even if the condition of a tire has been changed.SOLUTION: The vibration waveform of a tire and information on the state of the tire are acquired when the state of a road surface is determined from the waveform of time change of vibrations of the tire during driving detected by vibration detection means, and a determination parameter for determining the state of a road surface obtained from the tire vibration waveform is corrected or is changed by the acquired information on the state of the tire. The road surface state is determined based on the corrected or changed determination parameter, and alternatively based on the determination parameter and the state information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】タイヤ状態が変化しても、路面状態を精度よく判定できる方法を提供する。【解決手段】振動検出手段により検出した走行中のタイヤの振動の時間変化波形から路面の状態を判別する際に、タイヤの振動波形に加えて、タイヤの状態情報を取得するとともに、タイヤの振動波形から求められる路面状態を判別するための判別パラメータを取得されたタイヤの状態情報により補正もしくは変更し、この補正もしくは変更された判別パラメータを用いて路面状態を判別するか、もしくは、判別パラメータを状態情報とから路面状態を判別するようにした。【選択図】図5
