PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical member capable of preventing press-fit failure in mounting with binding force against an outer shell of the cylindrical member secured, and provide a buffer.SOLUTION: A bump cap 6 includes a cylindrical body part 60, and three or more projections (press-fit projection 62, auxiliary projection 63) provided at different positions in a circumferential direction on an inner periphery of the body part 60. Among the projections, plural projections whose number is smaller than the number of installed projections are press-fit projections 62 whose radial heights are higher than radial heights of the other projections. In a state where at least the press-fit projections 62 are pressed against an outer periphery of an outer shell of a buffer, the bump cap 6 is mounted on the outer periphery of the outer shell.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】 筒部材のアウターシェルに対する緊縛力を確保しつつ、装着時の圧入不良も防止できる筒部材及び緩衝器を提供する。【解決手段】 バンプキャップ6が筒状の本体部60と、本体部60の内周の周方向の異なる位置に設けられる三本以上の突起(圧入突起62、補助突起63)とを備える。突起のうち、突起の設置数よりも少ない数であって複数の突起は、径方向高さが他の突起の径方向高さよりも高い圧入突起62であり、少なくとも圧入突起62を緩衝器のアウターシェルの外周に押し当てた状態で、バンプキャップ6がアウターシェルの外周に装着される。【選択図】 図5
