PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the safety of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device 100 includes: a first battery 112; a drive motor 110 for receiving supply of power from the first battery to drive a vehicle 1; a capacitor 116 for smoothing the power in a supply path of the power from the first battery to the drive motor; a power control unit 122 for monitoring the first battery; and a failure correspondence unit 126 for supplying the power accumulated in the capacitor to the power control unit and also transmitting failure information showing a failure when the failure occurs in the vehicle.
