PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately distinguish a stationary vehicle from an object other than the stationary vehicle.SOLUTION: A radar device 1 derives a parameter related to a target and detection distance of the target on the basis of a reception signal obtained by receiving a reflection wave reflected by the target that is situated in the vicinity of a host vehicle and reflects a radar transmission wave transmitted by the host vehicle to its vicinity. Then, it determines which the target is, a stationary vehicle or an object other than a stationary vehicle on the basis of a known characteristic of the parameter different depending on whether a determination object is either a stationary vehicle or an object other than a stationary vehicle corresponding to the detection distance, and the derived parameter and detection distance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】静止車両及び静止車両以外を精度よく判別する。【解決手段】レーダ装置1は、自車両の周辺へ送信したレーダ送信波が該周辺に存在する物標に反射した反射波を受信して取得される受信信号に基づいて物標に係るパラメータ及び物標の検知距離を導出する。そして、検知距離に応じた、判別対象が静止車両及び静止車両以外の物のいずれであるかにより異なるパラメータの既知の特性と、導出したパラメータ及び検知距離とから、物標が静止車両及び静止車両以外の物のいずれかであるかを判定する。【選択図】図2
