PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relay device and power supply unit, capable of switching on-off of an energization path between power storage parts and suppressing, when a ground fault occurs on either one power storage part side, generation of a voltage drop on the other power storage part side.SOLUTION: A relay device 2 includes: a relay part 5 which has a serial constitution part 10 formed by connecting a resistance part 12 and a switch part 14 in series, and serves as a path of an electric current running through between a first power storage part 91 and a second power storage part 92 when the switch part 14 is under an on state; and a control part 3 controlling to switch the switch part 14 in the relay part 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
