PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in which, when the brightness and hue of an image is adjusted in the entire or predetermined partial region of a field angle since objects and ranges with the high importance of periphery confirmation during travel of a vehicle become different depending on the driving situation of the vehicle, the image does not necessarily become a proper image at the time when a driver confirms the object and range with the high importance of periphery confirmation.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 100 includes: an imaging unit 110 which images the periphery of a vehicle; a control unit which controls the imaging unit; an image processing unit which processes image data; an output unit which outputs the processed image to the display unit; and a detection unit which detects information on the route change of the vehicle. At least any of imaging control by the control unit and image processing by the image processing unit performs weighting so as to be increased in the route change direction on the basis of the information on the route change detected by the detection unit. With this imaging apparatus, the image with which the driver can properly confirm the state of the route change destination can be displayed at the time of route change.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】車両の走行中に周辺確認の重要性が高い対象物や範囲は、車両の動作状況によって異なってくる。しかし、画像の明るさや色味を画角の全体や予め定められた一部の領域で調整すると、周辺確認の重要性が高い対象物や範囲を運転者が確認するときに必ずしも適切な画像にならない。【解決手段】撮像装置100は、車両の周辺を撮像する撮像部110と、撮像部を制御する制御部と、画像データを処理する画像処理部と、処理した画像を表示部に出力する出力部と、車両の進路変更に関する情報を検出する検出部とを備える。制御部による撮像制御および画像処理部による画像処理の少なくともいずれかは、検出部が検出した進路変更に関する情報に基づいて進路変更方向に大きくなるように重み付けを施す。このような撮像装置によれば、進路変更時において、運転者が進路変更先の様子を適切に確認できる画像を呈示することができる。【選択図】図3
