PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep maintainability of a rotary electric machine including a cooling fan, reduce a mechanical loss and noise caused by rotation of the cooling fan to further improve efficiency of the rotary electric machine and implement reduction in the rotary electric machine's noise.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine comprises: a stator; a rotor; a shaft, a rotary axis for the rotor; a frame; a first bearing; a second bearing; a cooling fan; a third bearing; and a torque limiter. The first and second bearings rotatably support the shaft, and the third bearing is disposed between the first bearing and the second bearing. The cooling fan is rotatably supported by the third bearing and has the same rotation axis as that of the rotor. The torque limiter includes: an inner ring part fixed on the shaft; and an outer ring part fixed on the cooling fan. The inner ring part and the outer ring part rotate asynchronously at a rotation frequency equal to or larger than a predetermined rotation frequency.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】冷却ファンを有する回転電機のメンテナンス性を維持するとともに、冷却ファンの回転によって生じる機械損及び騒音を低減し、回転電機の効率を更に向上し、かつ、回転電機の低騒音化を実現する。【解決手段】固定子と、回転子と、回転子の回転軸であるシャフトと、フレームと、第1の軸受と、第2の軸受と、冷却ファンと、第3の軸受と、トルクリミッタと、を備えた回転電機であって、第1の軸受及び第2の軸受は、シャフトを回転可能に支持し、第3の軸受は、第1の軸受と第2の軸受との間に配置され、冷却ファンは、第3の軸受により回転可能に支持され、回転子と同一の回転軸を有し、トルクリミッタは、シャフトに固定された内輪部と、冷却ファンに固定された外輪部と、を有し、内輪部と外輪部とは、所定の回転数以上で非同期回転となる。【選択図】図1
