PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit an optical signal between a vehicle body and a steering wheel regardless of a steering angle of the steering wheel although having a small number of light transmitting sections.SOLUTION: A light guide ring 26 of a first transmission structure section 25 in an optical signal transmission structure 20 is formed of an annular plate and is mounted in a vehicle body. An incident end section 28 having an incident surface 27 of an optical signal is formed in a part in the circumferential direction of the light guide ring 26. An unevenness section 34 as a diffusion section for diffusing the optical signal made incident from the incident surface 27 is provided over all circumstance in an outer peripheral surface 35 of the light guide ring 26. An inner peripheral surface of the light guide ring 26 is made an emission surface 33 of the optical signal. A light transmitting section 37 is arranged at a portion circumferentially opposed to the light guide ring 26 with respect to the incident surface 27 and irradiates the incident surface 27 with the optical signal. A light receiving section 38 is arranged at a portion radially opposed to the light guide ring 26 with respect to the emission surface 33, relatively moves in the circumferential direction with respect to the light guide ring 26, and receives the optical signal emitted from the emission surface 33.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8

    【課題】少ない数の送光部でありながら、ステアリングホイールの操舵角に拘わらず、車体とステアリングホイールとの間で光信号を伝達する。【解決手段】光信号伝達構造20における第1伝達構造部25の導光リング26は、円環状の板により形成され、車体に取付けられる。導光リング26の周方向の一部には、光信号の入射面27を有する入射端部28が形成される。導光リング26の外周面35には、入射面27から入射された光信号を拡散させる拡散部として凸凹部34が全周にわたって設けられる。導光リング26の内周面は光信号の出射面33とされる。送光部37は、入射面27に対し、導光リング26の周方向に対向する箇所に配置され、入射面27に向けて光信号を照射する。受光部38は、出射面33に対し、導光リング26の径方向に対向する箇所に配置され、導光リング26に対し周方向に相対移動し、かつ出射面33から出射された光信号を受光する。【選択図】図8
