PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frictional agitation joint method for dissimilar metal members, which is enabled to acquire a sufficient joint state by a simple method.SOLUTION: In a combination of an aluminum material 1 and an iron material 2 having a higher melting point than that of the aluminum material 1, a frictional agitation jointing method for dissimilar metal members, the two metals are jointed in solid phases by a frictional agitation while rotating a rotary tool 3. Especially, the feature of the invention resides in that a probe 32 disposed at the leading end of the rotary tool 3 is pushed and inserted from the side of the aluminum material 1, and in that the insertion amount I of the probe is 110 to 160% of the thickness ta of the aluminum material 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】簡易な方法で十分な接合状態を得ることが可能な異種金属部材の摩擦攪拌接合方法を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の異種金属部材の摩擦攪拌接合方法は、例えばアルミニウム材1と、アルミニウム材1の融点よりも高い融点を有する例えば鉄材2との組み合わせにおいて、回転ツール3を回転させながら摩擦撹拌により両金属を固相接合する。特に本発明の特徴とするところは、回転ツール3の先端に設けられるプローブ32をアルミニウム材1側から押し当てて挿入し、プローブの挿入量Iがアルミニウム材1の厚みtaの110〜160%である点である。【選択図】図1
