PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double-deck elevator capable of landing an upper car and a lower car at respective destination floors as accurately as possible at a stage when an outer cage frame is stopped at a destination stop position by an elevation control of the outer car frame.SOLUTION: A double-deck elevator comprises: car interval adjustment means for adjusting vertical car interval between an upper car 14 and a lower car 16, so as to stop the cars at heights of two upper and lower destination floors; displacement amount acquisition means for acquiring a downward displacement amount (ΔR/2) for the positions of the upper car 14 and the lower car 16 suspended by a present cable-like body 20 with respect to that of the upper car 14 and the lower car 16 suspended by an initial state cable-like body 20 at some vertical position for an outer car frame 12; and target stop position correction means for correcting a target stop position of an outer car frame 12 corresponding to the two destination floors upward by an amount of displacement (ΔR/2) acquired by the displacement amount acquisition means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
