PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double-deck elevator capable of landing an upper car and a lower car at destination floors as accurately as possible even when a cable-like body suspending the upper and lower cars has caused elongation.SOLUTION: A double-deck elevator comprises: car interval adjustment means for adjusting a vertical car interval between an upper car 14 suspended at one end side of a wire rope 20, which is a cable-like body put on a sheave 18 and turned back, and a lower car 16 suspended at the other end side, so as to stop the cars at heights of two upper and lower destination floors; elongation amount acquisition means for acquiring an elongation amount (ΔR) of the wire rope 20 from an initial state; and target stop position correction means for correcting a target stop position of an upper car frame 12 corresponding to the two destination floors in a hoist-way 36, upward by an amount of distance (ΔR/2) corresponding to the acquired elongation amount (ΔR).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
