PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a front pillar from colliding with a pedestrian.SOLUTION: An inclining member 13 comprising L-shaped arms 15U, 15D and a bar-shaped member 16, is rotatably supported with a front panel 4 through rotary shaft parts 14U, 14D, and capable of inclining between a normal position and an outer side rear position. The bar-shaped member 16 of the inclining member 13 at the normal position vertically extends in front of the front pillar 11. The inclining member 13 at the normal position is energized by coil springs in the rotary shaft parts 14U, 14D, inward of a vehicle width direction, while end parts 17 of the L shaped-arms 15U, 15D contact with front surfaces of vertical plate parts 12a of brackets 12U, 12D to restrict a vehicle width-wise inward inclination of the inclining member 13. When a truck 1 collides with a pedestrian, a head of the pedestrian heading for the front pillar 11, from in front of the truck 1, collides with the bar-shaped member 16 of the inclining member 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】フロントピラーへの歩行者の衝突を防止する。【解決手段】傾動部材13は、L字アーム15U,15Dと棒状部材16とを有し、回転軸部14U,14Dを介してフロントパネル4に回転自在に支持され、通常位置と外側後方位置との間を傾動可能である。通常位置の傾動部材13の棒状部材16は、フロントピラー11の前方で上下方向に沿って延びる。通常位置の傾動部材13は、回転軸部14U,14Dのコイルスプリングによって車幅方向内側へ向かって付勢されるとともに、L字アーム15U,15Dの後端部17が、ブラケット12U,12Dの縦板部12aの前面に当接して傾動部材13の車幅方向内側への傾動を規制している。トラック1と歩行者とが衝突した際、トラック1の前方からフロントピラー11に向かう歩行者の頭部は、傾動部材13の棒状部材16に衝突する。【選択図】図1
